What was the rehab you may ask? Well here is your answer-
Diva had chips removed surgically by MidAtlantic
1) LF Dorsomedial and Dorsolateral Proximal Phalanx
2) RF Dorsomedial Proximal Phalanx
She got bilateral front fetlock arthroscopys and the osteochondral fragments were removed routinely and the underlying subchondral bone debrided to healthy margins.
We did a complete rehab, and have new post rehab X-rays as well for anyone interested!
Career Limitations: best suited for a flat and low impact career. Can do poles, trails, uneven terrain! For longevity of soundness and comfort Diva is best suited for a NON jumping or high speed with tight turns career.
Now onto the good stuff, Diva did amazing with her rehab, was a true lady all the way through! She is an easy girl, she stands perfectly for the vet, farrier and dentist! She is a sweet girl that loves grooming and cuddles. We have been alternating between English and Western saddles to see if she has a preference and she truly doesn’t care either way! She does move more English and, with the right training she would be a gorgeous dressage prospect with how gorgeous she is but she is a mare that will tackle any task you give her!
